If you’re reading this, you’ve probably seen a flyer, scrolled past us on Instagram, or wandered into one of our events. Maybe you’re curious what Ocean State Card Con is all about.
The short version?
We’re Rhode Island’s own trading card convention, hosted twice a year at the West Warwick Civic Center. It’s a celebration of cards, collectibles, and community and it is growing FAST. But from the start, we knew we wanted to build something more than just a card show.
Ocean State Card Con (OSCC) began with a simple idea. What if there was a space where collectors, players, artists, families, and small businesses could come together? Not just to buy and sell, but to feel welcome. To play. To connect.
From our first event in 2024, the response was clear. People wanted something like this. Now, two shows later, we’ve had over 800 attendees, incredible vendors from across New England, and a growing sense of momentum. It’s still local, still cozy, still a little weird in the best way. And it keeps getting better.
We don’t need to be the biggest. We want to be the most welcoming. The most fun. The most community-centered.
OSCC is officially certified as a Green Event by RIDEM, which means we take sustainability seriously. We host Learn to Play sessions for Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, and other games because everyone deserves a way in. We’ve had crafts, cosplay, family-friendly zones, and programming designed to spark creativity and connection.
Whether you’re into Pokémon, sports cards, vintage MTG, handmade goods, or just tagging along with a friend, you’re welcome here.
We love seeing the big names. The long-time pros. The folks with custom booth setups and a loyal following. But we’re just as excited for the first-time vendor who’s nervous about their first table, the artist making stickers, or the hobbyist selling from a single binder.

The next Ocean State Card Con takes place on December 7, 2025 at the West Warwick Civic Center. We’re already planning new features and looking for more folks who want to help shape what’s next. We’re also exploring a dream we’ve had for a long time: the Ocean State Card Café. A real space where you can play, relax, and connect year-round.
